Culvert Inspections

Culvert Inspection and Maintenance services can be undertaken to protect the structural integrity of the highways and rail network. These structures are particularly tough to inspect and so we employ a range of specialist access techniques to carry out examination works on any size and type of culvert. Our services help to ensure you receive peace of mind that your culvert structures are safe and structurally secure with accurate data and high-quality reporting.

Rescue Cover

Our safety & rescue teams use their combined swift water, power boat, rope access and confined space skills and experience to provide access and safety cover for work near, over, on, in or under water. Our Safety Boat service ensures you have a competent team on-hand and dedicated to operating and providing personnel rescue from coastal, inland and river waters if the need arises. We have a varied fleet of conventional and specialist safety, rescue and work boats capable of for fulfilling a multitude of roles from rescue to guard boat or as an on-water base of operations for difficult bankside access.

Tunnel Inspections

We can remotely inspect all underwater or water filled structures in diameters from 200mm upwards over distances of up to 10km. Our skilful tunnel inspectors are equipped to work in static, surcharged and fast flowing water. If we haven’t got the system in place that you require, we will build something bespoke that fulfils your needs.

Pathfinder Assistance

Pathfinding is plotting the shortest routes between two points. When working in aconfined space, clear and simple egress methods are essential. Our confined spaces and entry team are able to identify the safest route into and through enclosed spaces, using the correct personal protective equipment and recognised safe methods.

Internal Gate Inspections

We have extensive experience of installation, removal, maintenance and repair of lock gates, sluice paddles and dock structures. We also offer confined space jetting teams for all de-mudding operations. With over … years of expertise and knowledge of lock gate operations we combine our diving skills with fully qualified civil engineering teams to provide support for large engineering projects including the installations maintenance and removal of lock gates.

Diving Surveys

Northern Divers provide a cost-effective approach, achieving quality data collection to the highest of standards. With short mobilisation time, and almost 'plug in and play' setup, we can offer an excellent hydrographic survey service to our clients, anytime. Scientific diving surveys are often required to obtain quality data from habitats such as sub-tidal reefs which, depending upon the aims of individual studies, do not always lend themselves well to remote sensing techniques.

Tank Cleaning

Tanks have a vast variety of uses, either above or below ground, however they are all difficult to access for maintenance and repair. Tank cleaning is necessary to change the product contained in the tank, prepare for maintenance, and examine the tank for any signs of corrosion. We offer cutting edge confined spaces access and entry teams to survey, maintain, and repair water tanks, balance tanks, irrigation tanks, and more.

Foul Water

Foul water is wastewater from bathrooms, kitchens, and other buildings which will then discharge into drainage systems. Our teams are trained to work safely and efficiently in foul water. They are provided with adequate personal protective equipment to ensure that they are kept safe at all times and are able to prevent contamination.
