IMCA Containerised Decompression Chambers
Decompression Chambers
A decompression chamber is used to safely transport our surface supplied divers on their decompression stops. Ideal for combating decompression sickness, the chamber is supplied with oxygen to safeguard against too much nitrogen entering the blood stream when pressure around the diver decreases.
In addition, a decompression chamber is used to help our divers to finish their decompression stops on the surface, rather than underwater, which is ideal during work in dangerous, cold and harsher environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why are non-submersible chambers used in commercial diving?
This method of decompression is largely used in commercial diving because divers work for long hours underwater, typically at deeper depths then recreational divers. This means that they need longer amounts of time for the decompression process.
